Granada

Granada is a lively university city with a large number of bars in the old city center. You can also find a wide range of 'tapas' that are offered for free in bars.

There also are a number of attractions:

• The world famous Alhambra.
• Generalife (the courtyards)
• The Cathedral.
• The old Moorish quarter Albaicin.
• The gypsy district Sacromonte where you can attend a flamenco show in the caves of the district.

Granada also offers a wide range of cultural activities throughout the year including the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada (the main Spanish festival of classical and contemporary music and ballet) and Festival de Jazz de Granada (one of the major European jazz festivals).

Finally, you can also shop in Granada. Trendy fashion shops, department stores, shoe shops, leather goods, pottery and souvenir shops are found here. There are colorful markets alongside flowers and vegetables also offer clothing and shoes on different days of the week.
