Carnaval van Cádiz: the famous carnival of the Spanish mainland.

Festival de Jerez: two-week festival with flamenco artists.

March / April
Semana Santa: Easter is celebrated across Andalucia with large processions. In all major cities, this is worth visiting. The most famous is Seville's carnival. The highlight of the week is the night of Green Thursday on Good Friday.
Festival de Tango - Granada: this festival, one of a kind in Europe and one of the pioneers around the world, where many of the great figures of tango will be.

Festival de Cine Español de Málaga: the biggest festival of Spanish films.

Feria del Caballo: horsemarket of Jerez. Is the largest celebration of the city.

Pilgrimage to El Rocío: hundreds of thousands travel (some even by horse or oxe) to El Rocío.

Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada: the most important festival for Spanish classical to contemporary music and ballet in the historic area of Granada.

Festival de la Cueva: ballet, opera and concerts in the caves of Nerja.

Noches del Albaicín Granada: evenings of flamenco and music in the Moorish quarter Albaicin of Granada.

Carreras de Caballo de Sanlúcar de Barrameda: horse racing on the sandy banks of the River Guadalguivir.

Early September
Feria de Pedro Romero: bullfighting in Ronda, including a Goyesca Corrida (bull fight as in the times of Goya)

Festival Internacional de Jazz de Granada: one of the major European jazz festivals.
